TWO HEALTH PROBLEMS YOU’RE NOT TOO YOUNG FOR

“So this girl accepts your proposal, everything is in place and you invite her over. ‘Your body start to bee you‘, then boom! Your ‘joystick’ fails you. Take time to read if you think something like this can’t happen to you.

ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION, a.k.a Impotence

Erectile Dysfunction, call it impotence, or however you want to call it. Your ‘joystick’ ain’t happy and you ain’t laughing either. Surprisingly, 7-8% of men between 20 and 40 years will experience erectile dysfunction.

What is it?

The condition is an inability to have and maintain an erection, making intercourse impossible. Erectile dysfunction(ED) can vary. It can involve the inability to achieve an ejaculation or erection, an inconsistent to do so, or a tendency to sustain only brief erections.

An erection involves the brains, nerves, hormones, muscles and circulatory system. These systems work together to fill the erectile tissue in the penis.

WHY BOTHER?

Erectile dysfunction is common among older men, but it also affects younger men in large numbers. A 2013 study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine suggests that ED is more common among younger men than previously thought.

Researchers found that Erectile dysfunction affected 26 percent of adult men under 40. Almost half of these young men had severe ED, while only 40 percent of older men with ED had severe ED.

So if you ever had it in mind that you’re not exposed to having erectile dysfunction(ED), then you should have a second thought.

Now that we are aware of ED, let’s move on.

CAUSES OF ED IN YOUNG ADULTS

  • Performance anxiety, when a man is too nervous to sustain an erection.
  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Certain medication such as aphrodisiac drugs

Other lifestyle causes are,

  • Obesity
  • Poor diet
  • Excessive drinking
  • Relationship stress. Some girls give their partners too much pressure!
  • Smoking

However, if a man thinks he knows the reason for his ED, he should still see a doctor for treatment. It is hard for a man to admit to having an ED.

There are 3 main symptoms of ED. And they are easy to identify.

  • Inability to get an erection
  • Inability to maintain an erection long enough to have sexual intercourse
  • Trouble having an erection that is firm enough for sexual intercourse

COMPLICATIONS

  • An unsatisfactory sex life
  • Inability to get a partner pregnant
  • Low self esteem due to inability to perform

Moving on,

STROKE

Did you know, that stroke is a form of accident known as cerebrovascular accident? Cerebro is the brain and vascular is the blood supply to the brain or the blood vessels to the brain. If you didn’t, then read what I have for you.

Stroke is a damage to the brain from the interruption of its blood. A stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of your brain is interrupted or reduced, preventing brain tissue from getting oxygen and nutrients.

Strokes fall into several major categories, based on whether, the disrupted blood supply is caused by a blocked blood vessel (also known as an ischemic stroke) or a hemorrhage. Since each type of stroke has a different type of treatment, it is very important for the doctor to determine the cause of the stroke, as well as the location, as quickly as possible.

Normally people in their 20s think they have nothing to worry about certain health issues like stroke. But according to research, that could affect you sooner than you think. Recent information shows that, some health problems associated with older age are affecting young adults.

The purpose of this blog, is to educate you on the causes of stroke and how to prevent or protect yourself from getting affected at this age.

WHAT CAUSES STROKE IN YOUNG ADULTS?

Now that we all know how dangerous stroke is, I would like us to have a look at the things that causes stroke to happen.

•High blood pressure. Hypertension as we all call it, is the biggest cause of stroke.

•Tobacco. Smoking or chewing it raises your chances of getting a stroke. Cigarette smoke causes a fatty buildup in your neck artery and it could also make your blood thick and likely to clot.

•Obesity. Your chances of a stroke may go up if you’re overweight.

•Family. Stroke can ran in families. You and your relatives may share a tendency to get high blood pressure or diabetes. Some strokes can be brought on by a genetic disorder that blocks blood flow to the brain.

Now let’s move on to the symptoms and prevention of stroke.
